The primary considerations for undergraduate admission are your artistic and intellectual promise and your academic record. You must have graduated from high school, be evaluated by your teachers or other responsible officials of the school, and have taken an appropriate distribution of high school subjects.

Your application must be accompanied by a $55 nonrefundable application fee. You must also submit your official secondary school transcript, a teacher evaluation, SAT I or ACT scores, and essay.

Transfer Students
Washington University also welcomes eligible transfer students. Students should be aware, however, that requirements for degrees vary from institution to institution.
Please note, the College of Architecture can only consider mid-year applicants who have had previous course work in drawing or design or who are transferring from another school of architecture. Transfer applicants are required to submit transcripts of all collegiate work undertaken. The applicant should return the Common Application (or Universal College Application) and our Pre-Application Data Sheet with the $55 application fee to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Transfer students are required to submit a portfolio of design/art work at another college or university for review by the faculty.
