Other Academic Programs

The College & Graduate School of Art offer a wide variety of other academic experiences to enhance both the undergraduate and graduate curricula. Our study abroad program in Florence, Italy offers opportunities to study during the fall or spring semesters as well as a summer session. WashUCity and the Visual Communications Research Studio (VCRS) allow Visual Communications students and alumni to participate in real-life, beyond-the-studio situations. While the Kranzberg Illustrated Book Studio, a partnership between University Libraries and the School is a resource for the study of the book, authorship, and publishing.

In addition, Portfolio Plus, a pre-college summer program developed to prepare high school students for art school, offers studio classes and college credit. At the same time, students learn to document their work and have the opportunity to build their portfolios.
