1985Mark FoxBFA85A new work by Mark Fox is featured as part of a large exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. The show, titled 'Slash: Paper Under The Knife,' focuses on artists who cut/manipulate paper in some way, and is on view from Oct. 7, 2009, through Apr. 4, 2010.

2009Hye Young KimMFA09Hye Young Kim's recent work is featured in the solo show "Trace of Existence" at the University City Public Library from November 5-28, 2009. The opening reception for the exhibition is November 5, from 6-8pm in The Gallery at the library. Now living in Seattle, Hye Young Kim earned her MFA from Washington University in 2009 and her BFA in painting from Korea University, South Korea. She has focused on recording human traces through paintings in various mediums, as well as doing site-specific installations with interactive performances.

1976Sharad ShethMArch76Sharad Sheth was awarded "Gaurav Puraskar," a lifetime achievement award for his work in the field of sculpture, on October 5, 2009. The coveted award was given to Sheth by the department of Culture, State of Gujarat, India, along with a cash award of 51,000 rupees. The state organized a retrospective show after the award ceremony.

1993Josh GoldsteinBArch93Architecture alum Josh Goldstein is one of four New York City artists who created a full building-size mural at Times Square in New York. The image here shows Goldstein's work for Target, which also appears on bags for the retailer.

1977Amy ChaiklinBFA77Amy Chaiklin's Fashion Moda limited-edition silkscreen print, "Eyes on You," (edition of 40, printed at the Lower East Side Printshop, 1983) is included in the exhibition "URBAN ARCHIVES: that was then this is now," on view at the Bronx Museum of Art in New York from October 4, 2009 – March 1, 2010. 2009Sam WashburnBFA09, Communication DesignSam Washburn recently appeared on the television program "Great Day St. Louis" to promote a "funraiser" he's headlining on Sept. 30 at The Jive & Wail in Maplewood, to benefit the Ryan Hummert Memorial Fund. Washburn produces "Intersections," a monthly series for the St. Louis Beacon that presents an image of a neighborhood or an activity that is unique to St. Louis. As part of the "funraiser," Washburn will sell signed posters of the first illustration in the series, which depicts the neighborhood of Maplewood, for $35. 1994Danielle (Zeitlen) Hughes & Cynthia (Martinez) LyonsBFA94Combining their love of movies and pop culture with their experience in advertising design, Danielle (Zeitlen) Hughes and Cynthia (Martinez) Lyons, both BFA94, formed their company, Baby Fish Mouth, in 2007. Baby Fish Mouth (BFM) offers infant and toddler T-shirts and snapsuits that feature a "baby-centric" twist on well-known movie lines. Examples include "He made me a bottle I couldn't refuse" (The Godfather) and "May the formula be with you" (Star Wars). 1992Karla RodasBFA92"Perspectivas Latinas" features oil and acrylic paintings by award-winning artist Karla "Karlisima" Rodas, a native of El Salvador. The exhibition, on view September 15 through October 15 at the Pascal Center for Performing Arts Gallery at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) in Maryland, is part of the AACC celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. Rodas will speak about her work at AACC on September 24, from 4-6pm, with a reception for her show to follow.

2000Cheree BerryBFA00Cheree Berry's wedding was recently featured in the Summer 2009 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. Berry is the owner of Cheree Berry Paper, a stationery and graphic design company in St. Louis. Her creative touch was evident in both the big and little details of her wedding, from the design of her invitations to a display of lollipops that greeted guests.

2000Holly Williams LeppoMArch00Holly Williams Leppo, AIA, LEED AP is the author of the series of preparatory materials for the LEED Green Associate and Accredited Professional exams published by Professional Publications, Inc. (website: www.ppi2pass.com). The LEED line was revised to coincide with USGBC's release of LEED v 3.0 and GBCI's new requirements for LEED Accredited Professional credentialing. She is also the co-author of four of PPI's guides for preparing for the Architect Registration Exam. Holly is a principal architect and vice-president of SMB&R, Inc., an architecture, structural engineering, and interior design firm in Camp Hill, PA. She was honored earlier this year as one of Building Design + Construction Magazine's 40 Under 40, and was recently announced as one of the regional Forty Under 40 class recognized by the Central Penn Business Journal.
